About

A focused team on the owner's side of the table.

Benjamin R. Consulting Inc. is a Toronto firm that works only for owners. We combine hands-on project controls with the judgment owners need to make fast, defensible decisions.

Ben Abbasi, PMP

Founder & Principal

Ben founded Benjamin R. Consulting to give owners the integrated control that's usually missing on complex programs. He has more than 12 years of experience managing complex, long-duration projects, and currently serves as owner's representative on a multi-building corporate campus program in Toronto.

Ben also teaches planning and scheduling at George Brown College, where he trains the next generation of project controls professionals. His work spans master scheduling, budget forecasting, change control, risk management and executive reporting, with deep fluency in the tools that run modern projects.

Minghui Cui, Senior Project Control Consultant at Benjamin R. Consulting

Minghui Cui

Senior Project Control Consultant

Minghui keeps BRC's programs under control day to day: schedule updates, Power BI dashboards, change order tracking and document control for owner's rep engagements. She brings an architect's eye to project controls, so she understands what's behind every drawing, permit and RFI that moves the schedule.

Before joining BRC, Minghui coordinated more than 200 residential, commercial and industrial projects from design development through permit approval, managing consultant coordination, Ontario Building Code compliance, RFIs and shop drawing reviews. She also led RFP and RFQ procurement and contract administration for building upgrade programs, including facade, HVAC and security work, tracking scope changes and budget compliance.

What we stand for

Three commitments on every engagement.

Independence

We work for owners only. Our advice is never shaped by a contract we're trying to win from the other side.

Clarity

One version of the truth on time, cost and risk, written so executives can act on it in minutes.

Ownership

We treat your program's schedule and budget as if they were our own, and we flag problems early, even when it's uncomfortable.

Have a program that's slipping, or about to start?

Book a 30-minute call. We'll tell you where your schedule and budget are exposed, and what an owner's rep would change, before you commit to anything.
